How you can contribute
Everyone can contribute to Princess Svanevit!
Would you like to support the craft and tradition of Swedish wooden boatbuilding by making a contribution to the restoration and outfitting of Princess Svanevit? Your support would be very much welcomed!
Princess Svanevit – so much more than a boat – is now being restored to perfect condition. During the warmer, brighter seasons she will race and tour around the Swedish coast. The winter plan for the duration of the project is for her to go on display at public venues and events as a symbol for Swedish innovation, boat building and sustainability.
By donating funds to Princess Svanevit you are not only contributing to her but to the future survival and development of Sweden’s classic boat heritage. How? Well, all remaining funds once Princess Svanevit is eventually sold will be put towards the Princess Svanevit Restoration Prize. The prize will support Sweden’s classic wooden boat tradition and the unique craftsmanship behind it.
Here’s how you can donate:
• Donate a sum of your choice to the Princess Svanevit Foundation’s bankgiro 5860-6476, or Swish to 1231679349. Enter your name and, preferably, your email address. Every penny will go towards restoration, equipment and costs of the project.
• Make a donation for a specific piece of equipment – sails, winches, electric motor, etc – Make a donation for a specific piece of equipment…. - for a sum of your choice to the Princess Svanevit Foundation’s bankgiro 5860-6476. Enter what you would like to contribute to, your name and, preferably, your email address.
• Adopt an intarsia wood-inlay door or panel for restoration - contact Svenska träbåtar’s board by emailing to info@svanevit.se
• Become a member of the Friends of Princess Svanevit (Princess Svanevits Vänner). This is currently being put together, so keep an eye out for “Latest News”!
FACTS
Princess Svanevit’s restoration is being carried out by Stockholms båtsnickeri AB. The work has been commissioned by Princess Svanevit AB (org. no. 559114-4109) which in turn is owned by the Princess Svanevit Foundation (org. no. 802482-0568) The board members of both Princess Svanevit AB and the Princess Svanevit Foundation work 100% pro bono.
